( generally speaking, what remains of the Titans's Jaegerists want little to nothing to do with the man whose greatest credit and public service is the death of Eren Jaeger. the feeling is mutual.

mostly.

tensions on earth are beginning to peak. if the Jaegerist issue is solved, with as little involvement of Gjallarhorn as possible, it's in favor of every economic bloc, the slow, quiet vie for independence. it's also more social currency than Armin knows what to do with, but it's useful when a token of goodwill presents itself:

a handful of Jaegerists, apprehended en route to Venus.

(the African Union is the most diplomatic option to request a favor. Dort had been Eren's final stand.)

according to Jean, they were Survey first. Armin can't say he recognizes them; those names and faces died in port with Samuel, Daz, and Floch. technically, in those last few days, Armin was those Jaegerists's commander. not so technically, Armin betrayed them when he betrayed the entirety of Titan Corporations. it's only right to negotiate —

well, their immediate release is unlikely. something reduced, maybe.

behind his left shoulder, an entire head taller, Jean sighs. the others aren't particularly suited to these sorts of things. Pieck, previously a rival contractor, bears no personal obligation. (leave it to Eren to implode not one but two highly successful PMC.) "they really picked this over Jupiter...?" if they were stupid enough to get caught here... are they stupid enough to have a reason to?

Jean doesn't know them that well. Armin isn't quite bracing for impact. he's too old to wonder what Erwin or Hange would do in his place, stony as an aide de camp? local officer? announces their arrival. the office is Gjallarhorn sterile. Armin glances to Jean, the recipient of the officer's fleeting annoyance. he steps inside. )
